Merit and Retro pay Information
On September 25, 2004 the employees of Con Edison will receive the merit pay for the 2004 collective bargaining agreement.

On October 2, 2004 the employees of Con Edison will receive all outstanding money for the merit pay retroactive to June 26, 2004

Summary of 2004-2008 Collective Bargaining Agreement
Job Security & Wage Increase: 4-Year Contract with total Wage Increases of 13.75%

Pension Improvements: Includes lowering of pivot year to 4

Progression Increase: two 52-cent/hr. increases for annual $1.04/hr., plus additional 35-cent/hr. if productivity letter hours met, bringing total progression increase to $1.39/hr.; also lowered number of years it takes to get from min to max pay

Medical: Weekly contribution increase averaging less than $5/week during life of contract

Metropolitan Dental Improvement: No Lifetime Max ($7.500 lifetime max eliminated)

Promotions & Transfers: Restrictions on promotions and transfers due to disciplinary reasons reduced from 24 months to 12 months

Restricted Duty Procedure (C-6): Employees with warnings can no longer be prohibited from being placed on or removed from C-6 procedure; limited duty employees will now receive progression pay increases; comprehensive training for employees on C-6 procedure Titles: Creation and enhancement of titles with additional pay Premiums: Double time after 16 hours work
